The 2017 Remarkable Woman lunch season will premiere with Nancy E Roman, President & CEO of the Capital Area Food Bank, the region’s largest organization working to solve hunger and its companion problems: chronic undernutrition, heart disease, and obesity. Nancy oversees a complex organization that has a staff of over 130 people, an annual operating budget of $20 million and supplies 444 partner nonprofits in Washington DC, Northern Virginia and Maryland with food and nutrition training and education. She joined the Capital Area Food Bank in January 2013 after an international career spanning leadership of the United Nations World Food Programme, building their Fortune 500 partnerships and steering communications, fundraising and policy. She was also President of the G7 Group a firm that advised Wall Street on Washington.
